Remote Backup is the process of moving a copy of critical data electronically from a laptop, desktop or server to another computer to provide safe off-site data storage. It is increasingly being used to supplement the use of conventional tape backup systems. Online backup that automatically vaults the data offsite is widely recognized as the best way to protect essential data.

RESQ Remote Backup Service provides safe, reliable backups that are stored off-site in our RESQ center. The
process is really quite simple: Your computer calls our storage computer and transfers your data via an Internet
connection in a compressed and encrypted file.

Data Security: How secure is your data with an on-line backup company? Sure, they all say that your data is protected in a secure environment. Does that mean in someone’s garage, apartment or basement? Come and tour NOVA's RESQ Center for yourself. Your data is protected in our secure facility located in Chicago. Access is managed and regulated by a secure recognition control system. Optimum temperature and humidity levels are maintained through a sophisticated data logging system. The facility is equipped with FM 200, a fire protection system which dispenses a colorless, liquefied gas as a clear vapor that leaves no residue and is environmentally safe. The RESQ Center has all the latest state-of-the-art technologies to insure that all of its high-tech equipment, as well as its lights, air-conditioning and alarms, will function even during power outages and catastrophic events.

Design a data backup that works for you

Full System Backup permits all files, including applications and registry, to be backed up. Full system enables a heal function not allowed in Data Only. This heal function allows users to restore their system configuration to the date of prior data backups. Systems can be restored to the exact same look-and-feel prior to a disaster, complete with all applications, data, preferences, and registry settings.

Data Only Backup can back up all data files if desired, but does not enable the “Heal” function. A user can select or deselect which files they want backed up or restored. A user of the “Data Only” plan will need to reload their programs in the event of a disaster, but will have all their user data at our data center.

Full System/Network Backup allows the user to backup a computer using the Full System backup and to additionally backup all mapped network drives. This system can backup all programs on your server, and enables the “Heal” feature when installed on your server.

Data Only/Network Backup allows a user a cost effective way to backup a small office network by a pick and choose data method.
